Your Magic Word - Unlocking your personal power

Your mind is one of the most powerful tools you could ever possess.   Research has revealed that we only tap 10 percent if that much of our mind’s potential.   Utilized fully, your mind would be 100 times more powerful than any computer. 

 

Think about it. While driving your car, your mind is operating hundreds of applications including:  sight, hearing, taste, smell.  Not to mention, running your heart, kidney, brain, and thousands of other biological functions without you thinking about it.

 

If you can learn how to properly manage your mind, you can overcome bad habits, create confidence, lift yourself from depression and create a new reality for yourself. 

 

 

World renown Performance Coach Tony Robbins states, " The difference between acting badly or brilliantly is not based upon your ability, but on the state of your mind and/or body in any given moment."

 

One of the keys to controlling your mind is managing your vocabulary. The words you use can be very powerful.  Mark Twain states, " A powerful agent is the right word.  Whenever we come upon one of those intensely right words.... the resulting effect is physical as well as spiritual, and electrically prompt."   

 

Words are thoughts.  Before each and every action we take is a thought.   The words you use can be the initiators of action.  Consistent actions form habits which in turn creates your character.  In time, your character determines your destiny.

Here’s one technique that will allow you to access the powers of your mind.  It’s called the “The Magic Word.”

 

The technique is based on the process called anchoring.  If you have ever been happy, sad, fearful or confident, you can anchor the feeling and reproduce it.

 

Consider this.  Have you ever been in a great mood and a certain song came on the radio.   You instantly feel sad and depressed.  Your thoughts and feelings go back to a time, when your heart was broken.  The song reminds of a certain person, a certain place and a certain feeling.

 

On the contrary, can you remember a time, when you weren’t particularly happy or positive mood?  But then a certain song came on the radio.  Suddenly,  you are feeling energetic and motivated.  Your body wants to dance, your thoughts are bright and hopeful.

 

The song is the anchor.  When you heard the song, a picture entered your mind.  This was followed by a feeling or emotion.  Combined they changed your mood and affected your state of mind.

 

Here I will show you how to anchor your mood to a word and gesture.  Your magic word connected with an action and a feeling will give you’re the ability to create confident and happiness at will.

 

YOUR MAGIC WORD

 

In order to create this magic word.    Follow these steps.

 

  1.  Find a quiet place where you will not be interrupted.  Sit in a comfortable chair.  Both feet on the floor.  Don’t cross your legs.

 

  1.  Relax, close your eyes and  count down from 20 to 1.  As you count down feel your muscles relaxing from your head to your toes.  Imagine your body is filled with water.  As you count down, imagine that the water is draining out of your big toe.  As its drains from your head, down your neck to your shoulders, arms, chest; feel your muscles relax.  Your body should go limp as you count down.

 

Once you get to 1.  If any muscles still has tension focus on it.  Imagine a spotlight on it.  Take a deep breath.  Now count down from 5-1 while exhaling.

 

  1.  Once you are completely relaxed, imagine mirror image of yourself.  Think back to a time when you were filled with confidence.  One of those days when you felt unstoppable. 

 

See how you are dressed.  Imagine you are in your most confident state.  Shoulders back, relaxed, yet ready for action.  You are alert and ready for any challenge.  See yourself interacting confidently with others.  You are walking and talking with supreme confidence.  You see people impressed with you.  They compliment your dress and style. 

 

Get the feeling within your body.  Once you got the feeling.  Associate it to a word or a phase such as:

 

  • It’s On!
  • I got the power!
  • I’m am the power!
  • Power on

 

Now then snap your fingers.  This is creating an anchor.  Now do this exercise at least 5 times to anchor it to your self conscious.  Note:  Your anchor should be a unusual physical gesture that you can do at will. 

 

Important:  You must feel the emotion of confidence.  Visualize yourself in a confident mood.  Feel the power, the magnetism, the force of attraction within. Open your eyes and  confidently say your magic word – “It’s On! 

 

Feel the surge of power within yourself filling your entire body.  Your mind is clarified.  The body feels strong, powerful and magnetic.

 

The Process

1. Relax.   Inhale big and slowly exhale.

2. See the confident image of yourself

3.  Say your magic word

4.  Snap your fingers

 

See.  Say.  Snap.

 

 

You are going to see the picture of yourself and say your magic words five times.  Each time you will feel yourself becoming more and more powerful and confident.

 

Practice this technique daily.  The more you do it the easier it will become to call upon your "confident state".

 

Use this visualization technique when you going to connect with new people.  Use before attempting a sell or when you are recruiting for your organization.  Use it when you are going for the big speech, interview or presentation, Say your magic word and snap your fingers.  Activate your confident state.   People will feel your energy and you will affect them.  You will see your personal power in action.  The more you do it, the easier you will be able access your power state.
