The Bridging the Gap Awards will range from $1,000 to $10,000

Perlman Foundation supports small nonprofits
   The Perlman Foundation has announced that it is currently accepting submissions for itsBridging the Gap Awards, an unrestricted funding opportunity designed to identify and support smaller charitable organizations and their initiatives in order to build organizational capacity.
   In order to be eligible for the Bridging the Gap Awards, organizations must have an annual budget less than $250,000 and be change-makers in the areas of education; the arts; mentorship; college preparation; health and wellness; civic engagement; family and parental development; literacy; youth leadership; or neighborhood beautification.
   Individuals will also be considered for funding if they have served a group of 15 or more for a minimum of one year.
   The Bridging the Gap Awards will range from $1,000 to $10,000, and the Perlman
Foundation will determine the grant amount based on an assessment of each organization’s capacity and needs.
