The North Central Victim Services is sponsoring their 13th Annual Jazz luncheon Fundraiser Gala on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 1 pm to 5 pm, at First District Plaza, 3801 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA.
For the past 12 years, the North Central Victim Services has been honoring individuals for outstanding service and dedication to the community. This year, they will honor Michael Rice, a community and social advocate for his community work throughout the City of Philadelphia. Mr. Rice is a Community Engagement Specialist for the Department of Human Services. He is known for his community development and relationship building initiatives throughout the city.
The proceeds from this event will directly benefit the clients of the North Central Victim Services. They pay for prescriptions (as related the crime ) for those that have no medical coverage for prescriptions, minor home repairs for our senior victims and that have no home owners or renters insurance. In addition, they give out holiday basket s to the victims and their families.

North Central Victim Services (NCVS) is a non-profit community-based organization. The mission is to provide services to those that have been victims/witnesses of crime in the 22nd Police District. They provide services that address the emotional, social, financial and legal needs of the victims of crimes. Last year, NCVS serviced more than 2,000 victims.
