Community Legal Services Briefing on Changes in DPW Programs

On Thursday, July 26, 2012, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Community Legal Services will hold a special meeting for advocates, social workers, and constituent services staff to discuss recent changes in programs administered by the Department of Public Welfare. The panel presentation will feature several attorneys from Community Legal Services.

The agenda will include the elimination of General Assistance, proposed changes to TANF cash assistance for lawfully present immigrants, changes in TANF welfare-to-work programs, changes to Medical Assistance, the SNAP asset test, and related topics.

The meeting will be held in the 11th Floor Conference Center, at the Philadelphia Bar Association, 1101 Market St. Please note that a photo ID is required to enter the building.
