philly1.com: your place in the city - philadelphia - pa

Hi everybody,

I am looking for some advice regarding the city of Philadelphia. A friend of mine is thinking about moving to Philly for job reasons. Unfortunatelly, she doesn't know the city at all - neither do I.
So, I started wandering if you could help us.

She is especially interested in the following topics:
- way of life in Philadelphia
- average cost of living (esp. rents)
- areas to live in
- anything else that you consider worth thinking about, or being aware of before coming to Philly.

Thanks a lot. We really appreciate your help.

All the best

A dish of a global nature and origin in Philadelphia is the donut, the invention of the Germans arrived in the seventeenth century is now a symbol of all the United States. These sweet buns are one of the food for breakfast most popular in the U.S. which also appear in the film as one of the most consumed fresh by the police of this country. Although also very popular in other countries of Western culture, since they are in meeting rooms to the kitchen of the farmer. In colonial times, the taverns as the London Coffee House and the Tun Tavern were sites of socialization and protest against British rule. At the end of the nineteenth century were created the Reading Terminal Market and the Italian market. Many restaurants were opened from the'70s.
